Aleppo, Syria – At least three civilians were reportedly killed and several others injured on Monday, due to an aerial bombardment by the pro-regime air force on al-Sukkari neighbourhood in Aleppo, northern Syria.
Speaking to ARA News from Aleppo, activist Imad Hussein said that the pro-regime helicopters targeted the residential buildings in the neighbourhood with two explosive barrels, killing three children and wounding several others, who were partially transferred to field hospitals in the city, while the rest were taken to the Turkish territory.
Hussein added that the Syrian air force’s helicopters dropped explosive barrels on al-Salihin neighbourhood in Aleppo, killing two civilians and injuring five others.
Meanwhile, the pro-regime military forces targeted al-Jendoul roundabout in the city of Aleppo with heavy artillery, from their bases in Sheikh Yusuf hill near the industrial city, while the pro-regime warplanes bombarded with missiles the neighbourhood of Bustan al-Basha, without recording casualties.
Ahmed Abdulsalam, civil rights activist from the city of Aleppo, told ARA News that five soldiers of the regime forces were killed on Monday, due to clashes with fighters from the Operations Room of Ahl al-Sham factions and the Free Syrian Army (FSA), in the village of Aziziya in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
